Haloween update

Bad news first. Rynicie727 is being retired from the clan, due to the fact that he moved to start a new life with his girlfriend in Florida or Alabam or something a few months ago. Something he was kind enough to share with me through like a third or fourth source. So, apparently that is why he isn't on. He will be missed, and DAMN IT HE STILL HAS SOME OF MY BORDERLANDS GUNS!

Moving on:

Today is Halloween, which means while playing matchmaking you will see more MIAs then usual, as Children distract your foes whilst you headshot thier unmoving soldier.

Well, the level cap is about to be raised in Reach. 117 million challenges should be done on monday. Level cap increases Tuesday probably.

WU: Campaign, Map packs, 4x Exp, and Claptraps.

Campaign matchmaking for Halo Reach goes live tomorrow, along with a snipers and infection playlist.

The first map pack for Reach has been announced (November 30th, 800 points) which seems a little early for new maps. I mean, couldn't have this have been thrown in on the disk? Anyway, this map pack will never be free because it adds 250 Gamerscore worth of achievements to Reach. So let's divide the population 2 months into Reach, Bungie. Great Idea.

Anyway, the maps included are Anchor 9 (set in the space station of the same name. 2-8 players, designed for FFa, Team slayer and team objective), Tempest (A big team map that doubles as a "Forge me" map. At least have the decency to make it a different habitat for a forge me map the forge world), and Break point a new Invasion map. (What the hell? no Firefight maps? The dance hall in New Alexandria is almost exactly like Crater from Odst. It begs to be Firefighted!)

4x Exp. Gears 2 is having a 4x Exp event until the 28th. Then, until the 31st, it is having 31x Exp. This will probably be the last Gears 2 event the clan will do. unless they do a 60x Exp event...

The new Borderlands DLC is out. It's currently bugged though so we'll let you know when it is good.

In Halo 3, 7 on the 7th is now a monthly list that resets every month.

Oh, and Gears of War 3 will have dedicated servers. Boo-Yah. No Host bonuses.

Halo Reach playlist update going live on Tuesday.

Several Matchmaking changes are going up next Tuesday. Here is what it consists of:

Team Slayer
SWAT is Being removed.
Recorded voting behaviors are adapting the playlist (if it is voted for often it appears more often)
Traditional Slayer's weighting is increased greatly.

Team SWAT
Swat playlist introduced.
Swat removed from all other lists.
Swat on Hemmorrage gone.

Team Objective
Powerhouse is getting 1 flag and stockpile.

Multi Team
Rocket Race is added

Big Team Battle
SWAT and BTB Classic are removed.
Snipers has a reduced weighting.

Arena Doubles
Boardwalk Removed.
Slayer Pro varients removed.
Default Zealot is being replaced with Arena Zealot (has different start spawns and soft kill barrier in space..

Team Arena
Same as Arena Doubles, except Boardwalk is NOT being removed.

Score Attack
Credit earn rates for Gruntpocalypse are being reduced to fall more in line with other modes.

General Matchmaking
Various Tweaks and Bugs are being fixed.

Sacrifices must be made.

Well I'm back and within a week the new l4d 1 & 2 expansions come out. A new campaign called The Sacrifice will be available for both games along with No mercy L4d2 stylized for L4d2.



So several changes are already being made to Reach Matchmaking as everyon has made Bungie VERY much aware. (And yet a topic on the Reach Forums still disappears within 30 seconds of creation).


Playlist Changes

•SWAT Playlist added (SWAT removed from Big Team Battle and Team Slayer)
•Campaign Matchmaking (live on 10/15 – You will be required to have earned the Grade “Corporal” to enter this Playlist)
•Team Slayer rebalanced to highlight default Slayer game variants and include new offerings
•Classic Slayer removed
•Removed “Pro” game variants from the Arena Playlist
•Removed Boardwalk from Arena Team Doubles Playlist
•Added “Return to Battlefield” volume to Space on Zealot in the Arena Playlist


Game Variants Additions

•King of the Hill (multiple Playlists, including Arena*)
•Rocket Race
•Juggernaut (Rumble Pit Playlist)
•*King of the Hill not included in Arena


General Housekeeping

•Sudden Death will be added to all Assault game variants, including Invasion
•Team Objective will now feature the map Powerhouse
•Replacing Drop Shield with Evade for King of the Hill, Territories, and Oddball
•Replacing Hologram with Evade in Oddball, Capture the Flag, Assault, and Stockpile
•Replacing the Scorpion on Hemorrhage with Wraiths (Hemorrhage Heavies variant, TBD)


Clan Events are not going to be preplanned anymore but a "decide when enough people get on"

Also, Note that Halo Reach IS designed to be played from the HDD, so if you have room, you should totally install it. Helps the loading times a lot.

Also looking for Game types/ maps remade from halo 3 for clan events. We already have grifball. Going to be making Classic infection soon.

Oh, and Gears of war 3 has been delayed to November of 2011. They Have said they COULD get it done by April 2011, But would rather polish it up and release it in the holiday season.
